Substations
The Energoinvest ReachActive (ERA) incorporated joint venture was established with the objective of exploiting a high growth potential in the Irish and UK Power markets. In Ireland, Energoinvest Reach Active is a long term framework contractor for the Electricity Supply Board working Nationally constructing Electrical Installations and Commissioning of Substations.
- Design and build 38kV substation in Ireland
- Substations up to 400kV
To date ERA has been working with the Electricity Supply Board in Ireland under long term framework agreements which have included the construction, plant installation, testing and commissioning of numerous 38kV Substations.
These are LIVE operational substations (operationally LIVE working sites) and all works are carried out under strict site safety rules. ERA operates a zero tolerance to accidents and incidents and is proud of our commitment to Health and Safety.
In the UK Reach Active has successfully delivered several 33kV switchboard replacement projects for DNO’s including Scottish Power and UKPN. Recently a 33kV new build substation was completed for SSE. Due to our experience and multi-disciplinary capability, we are able to deliver substation work and also the supporting civil engineering around the site, including access, drainage, fencing and structures.
Additionally, as part of the multi-utility projects undertaken by Reach Active on behalf of developers, the consequential increase in power loads often necessitates the provision of additional substation/s. A good example of this was for Olympia, West Kensington London where 21 onsite 11kV substations were built for the client.
